Birch Beag is a small cottage on two floors facing South. Four steps lead from the gravel path to the porch shared with Birch Mhor. The dining table is placed in the window and, often, a red squirrel, a couple of pheasants or a variety of small birds will be eating in full view at the same time as you.
The bathroom is downstairs and has a shower. The focal point is provided in the sitting area by the fan assisted electric fire. The kitchen area has a built-in cooker, hob and fridge.
The bedroom upstairs has a coved ceiling to two walls and a dormer window overlooking the garden. There is a small built-in wardrobe, a chest of drawers and a dressing table. The bed can be made up as a six foot double or as two three foot singles. At the top of the stairs, outside the bedroom door, there is a small drying cupboard.
