Formal arrangements are set out on our Terms page.

Our relationship is that we provide presentable accommodation and ask you to leave it as you find it. *Alternatively we can offer a vacating cleaning service at an additional cost of £50, booked in advance.

On arrival please ensure that all your party is familiar with the position of the fire extinguisher and how to open the front door to the cottage to facilitate easy egress.

The gardens are there for you to use responsibly and for your pleasure.

We always check and thoroughly clean each cottage before our next guests arrive but you might find the following checklist helpful.

1. Empty all the rubbish bins in your cottage and put in the appropriate bins at the dustbin site and compostable matter on the compost heap.

2. Clean the bath/shower, basin and toilet and remember to take home your soap, shampoo etc.

3. Turn back the duvets from the beds you have used. Check drawers and cupboards and under the beds for your possessions.

4. Wipe out the fridge, microwave, oven, hob and bread bin. Wash the grill-pan. Make sure all glasses, crockery, cutlery and pots and pans have been put away clean. Any food you do not wish to take home with you please leave on the kitchen worktops. Wipe surfaces.

If your party was in more than one cottage, PLEASE make sure you leave each cottage with its original number of glasses, crockery and cutlery. (There is an inventory in each cottage folder).

5. Check for your possessions under the sofa and chair cushions and on the floor under them.
Make sure you take your phone chargers etc. away with you.
Run a vacuum over the floors.

6. Make a note of any breakages and leave money to cover the cost. Please let us know as soon as you have found anything defective, particularly electric items, and ensure that any extra maps or guide books we supply are left behind not to mention keys to the cottage!

Please remember that you are expected to VACATE your cottage by 10 A.M.
